It’s Nice to Meet You

About Ann

Based in the Boston area, Ann Maguire Design provides interior design and space planning services to the residential market. My primary objective is to effectively respond to the unique aesthetic and functional demands of each and every client.

I am a mother of three wonderful sons. For this reason, I appreciate clearly the need for storage, flow, open space and privacy within the confines of most homes. I have worked with many families to find thoughtful solutions to remedy their most frustrating spaces. I take a practical approach to design that keeps a real perspective on your budget and lifestyle.

My career began in the field of marketing communications. As I transitioned into design, I understood that I was simply shifting my design skill from paper to the blank canvas of spaces. Project management is a critical piece that I add to each design project, and one that is absolutely necessary to a successful outcome. My management style and thorough communications are a comfort to my clients who appreciate the care and attention to detail through every step in the process. The inclusion of these business techniques, along with my passion for design and creative abilities, guarantee a beautifully engineered space.

My Design

Perspective

As individuals, we mature and evolve over time. So naturally, as we change, so should our environment and surroundings. Awareness of such change is at the forefront of my design strategy as I strive to find the proper balance between form and function in a home. I also recognize how the infusion of fine, personal elements helps to redefine a space as your own. So together, as partners in the creative process, we thoughtfully formulate an attractive and useful space.

While trends are certainly something to consider, the correct design aesthetic to follow is always one that exemplifies you and your quality of life. I work diligently to maintain true form and function, while pulling into a design those nuances that matter most to you.

Color theory and interior hardscaping are two of my favorite concepts in design. I also insist that good design must be reinforced with a strong space plan. The end result will be a lasting, handsome space that meets all of your needs.

While trends are certainly something to consider, the correct design aesthetic to follow is always one that exemplifies you and your quality of life.
